Youth of Dissent is the fourth studio album by the Greek stoner rock band 1000mods. Notably, the band would record the album in Seattle, Washington with famed producer Matt Bayles (Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Mastodon, etc.) at London Bridge Studio and Studio Litho. Mixing took place at Red Room and Mastering took place at Resonant Mastering in Seattle. Youth of Dissent would be released in the Spring of 2020 via the band's own label Ouga Booga And The Mighty Oug Recordings, with Heavy Psych Sounds handling North American distribution.
To promote Youth of Dissent 1000mods would release a Maxi single entitled Pearl[1] and also released a special "Pizza Box" edition.[2]
Youth of Dissent received mostly positive reception upon release. While some reviewers were not as receptive,[3][4] positive reception came from the likes of Distorted Sound (8/10),[5] Monster Riff (7/10)[6] Louder Sound (8/10),[7] Nexus Music Blog (positive),[8] Astral Noize UK (positive),[9] Markus Heavy Music Blog (9/10)[10] GBHBL[11] and Desert Highways among others.[12]
