Your Choice Live Vol. 12 (Also known as Your Choice Live Series Vol. 12) is the first live album by The Melvins. It was released in 1991 via German independent label Your Choice Records.
Background[]
The recording that would compose Your Choice Live Vol. 12 was recorded on Recorded live January 23, 1991 at the Oberhaus in Alzey, Germany during the band's very first tour of Europe with NoNoYesNo as the supporting band. The band also performed the song "It's Shoved" that was left off this album and appears on the It's Your Choice compilation. "Tanked" is also an early version of the song "Wispy" from the Eggnog EP.
According to King Buzzo, the live recording was done after the recording of Bullhead but before the album itself was released. Also of note was the band's disinterest in doing a live album in an interview with Mark Prindle:

"We just didn't want to do the record! I mean, this guy asked us if we'd let him release a live album and we said we wouldn't do it unless he came up with a certain amount of money. I think it was like two grand, which was an outlandish amount for us at that time. So anyway, we're in Europe and he shows up at the show. This is dirt! This is good!" "So he shows up with money and I'm like `Oh shit, I forgot about this.' I didn't actually think he'd give us 2 grand. I guess I should have said 50,000! Anyway, so we did it and it's kinda weird.
