Yami no Kokoro Kara Shuppatsu (闇の心から出発; "Departure from the Heart of Darkness") is the sixth studio album by the Canadian one-man band Soulers, released on January 1, 2018. It is the first instalment of the 2018 saga. Unlike previous or subsequent albums, it is mostly sung in Japanese, with "Clean Land" being the only track in English.
It is slower than previous albums, mixing stoner doom with funeral doom. It explores themes of solitude, despair and love.
The album's opening track "Yami no Kokoro" is inspired by Dai Maō's solitude at school.
The only English track "Clean Land" was recorded after Dai Maō met his girlfriend.
