Wake Brewing is a brewery and small venue based out of Rock Island, Illinois. Founded in 2018, Wake is known for its “Doom Metal” inspired ethos and recently hosted a concert in their parking lot consisting of music acts both local and from out of the area representing a full spectrum of live metal music.[1]
Along with hosting concerts, the brewery hosts pro wrestling and other events. On 9 & 10 September 2022, Wake is set to host a 5th anniversary party featuring the likes of Indian, Immortal Bird, Mars Red Sky and Oryx among others.[2]
Wake Brewing would also release a special beer for their fifth anniversary. A collaboration with Takeshi of Boris, Wake would release a Jasmine Rice Lager in Kurui Mizu, along with a flexi single by Boris. The flexi single would be a re-recorded rendition of "Kuruimizu" from their 1998 album Amplifier Worship, featuring artwork by Arik Roper. The flexi would be limited to 500 copies.[3]
