History[]
Formed in 2012 in Mexico City, Vinnum Sabbathi merges loud, slow and distorted riffs with samples from science & Sci-Fi to create a unique sonic experience. The goal is to become the "sountrack" of cosmic and scientific events (such as a supernova ora rocket launch) and transmit that to the listener through heavy jams and hypnotic transitions.
From 2013 to 2016 the band toured several times across Mexico, releasing two EPs and two Split Albums including "Fuzzonaut", released by Stolen Body Records (UK). In 2017 their first Album "Gravity Works" is released on different formats by LSDR Records (Mexico), Southcave Records (Indonesia) and Aim Down Sight Recs (Germany), with this the band makes their European debut with an extensive tour that included festivals such as Bristol Psych Fest, Doomlines & Sonic Blast Moledo.
Between 2018 & 2019 the band releases two more Split collaborations including "The Good Earth is Dying" under Stolen Body Records & LSDR Records. Also were part of the shows of Red Fang, Rosetta & Truckfighters in Mexico City.
In January 2020 their second Album "of Dimensions & Theories" is released under Stolen Body Records & LSDR Records, as well as a Split collaboration with Comacozer under Psychedelic Salad Records (Australia) and later on a Live Session release under lnterstellar Smoke Records (Poland). A second European tour to support these releases had to be posponed dueto COVID-19.
