Unplugged is an EP by the American doom metal band Trouble. Recorded in the 2000s in largely the same sessions as 2007's Simple Mind Condition,[1] it would be initially released by the band in December 2007, limited to 1000 CDs with the first 100 signed by the band. The release would feature acoustic and lighter re-workings of songs from the band's psychedelic rock era. Unplugged would be reissued on 20 March 2009 on CD and Vinyl, featuring four bonus tracks recorded between 1991 and 1992. One of these tracks would be a cover of "Heartful of Soul" by The Yardbirds.
Unplugged would attain positive reviews. Metal-Temple, awarding an 8/10, would described the 2009 reissue as "beautifully depressing" and praise the overall production of the release.[2] Hellbound would award an 8.5/10, stating that Trouble "adroitly balances atop the tightrope through a smart track selection and performances that are generally passionate and well conceived. A crisp, full-bodied production presents acoustic reinterpretations of songs that are mellow, but certainly not limp.".[3]
