Under the Doom is a festival held in Lisbon, Portugal and active since at least 2013. Under the Doom, along with hosting doom metal bands, pushes a strong emphasis on dark atmospheric music as a whole. Along with doom bands the festival also tends to host black metal, ambient, extreme metal and gothic rock.

Under The Doom Sessions[]
Prior to the inaugural Under The Doom, Notredame would host two events under the name. First would be on 21 March 2009 (Featuring Mourning Lenore, Why Angels Fall and Divine Lust) and then 17 October 2009 (Featuring Eerie, Insaniae, Mourning Lenore and Ava Inferi).[1]

The third edition of Under The Doom was held at the RCA Club on 12 and 13 February 2016 in Lisbon, Portugal. Eterna Saudade would serve as a special guest for after each night.

The fifth edition of Under The Doom would be held between 30 November and 2 December 2017. Two of the three days would be held at the RCA Club while the third day (With festival headliner Lacuna Coil) would be held at a new location in Lisboa Ao Vivo.

Under The Doom VII[]
The seventh edition of Under The Doom would be held between 6 and 8 December 2019, the first time the festival would span three days. Notably the RCA Club would host 6 and 7 December while Lisboa Ao Vivo would host 8 December.

2022[]
On 30 November 2020 it would be announced that the next edition of Under The Doom would take place at Lisboa ao Vivo on 4 and 5 December 2021. Notably among other bands announced, one of the headliners would be Tiamat, performing both Wildhoney and Clouds in their entirities.[9] This would ultimately be postponed to 2 & 3 December 2022.
