The Walking Dead is the first EP by California doom metal band Saint Vitus. Released in the fall of 1985, this EP features three songs. Notably, "White Stallions" is the same recording from the Hallow's Victim while the title track is notably the longest studio track in the band's history.
Original pressings of The Walking Dead were released in the US and UK on 45RPM vinyl, with a repress in 1993. A cassette version was released the same year but like Hallow's Victim the EP never saw a CD release for many years. SST would reissue Hallow's Victim in 2010 with The Walking Dead on bonus tracks. In 2010, The Church Within Records would reissue The Walking Dead on CD with remastered audio. This reissue included a bonus DVD live in London, Ontario/Canada on 20 December 1984.
