Archive II (2014) |
The Thing Which Solomon Overlooked Extra is an album by the Japanese experimental rock band Boris.
Initialy it would be released as part of the box set 目をそらした瞬間 -the thing which solomon overlooked- chronicle, a 4-disc compilation album. It was released exclusively in Japan on 20 March 2013 through Daymare Recordings, collecting three previously released volumes as well as a newly recorded volume in the same style. Notably it would be the only way to get any of the volumes on CD.
Notably The Thing Which Solomon Overlooked Extra, while featuring drone works, also features songs in the vein of Boris' rock style ("Kimono Peak" and "Grave New World" for example) along with two songs with guests in "Howl Part 1" and "Howl Part 2". A vinyl edition would be produced by Minnesota label Taiga Records and released in 2014, limited to 500 copies (400 yellow, 100 purple). It would also be housed in a box designed to hold all four volumes of the series.[1]
The Thing Which Solomon Overlooked Extra, along with all three other volumes, would be released on Bandcamp in line with Bandcamp Fridays on 4 September 2020.[2]
