Bootleg - Feedbacker - (2005) |
The Thing Which Solomon Overlooked is the sixth studio album by Japanese band Boris. Released in the fall of 2004 as a one-time pressing of 550 copies via Finnish label Kult of Nihilow, it quickly sold out and for many years became a rarity among fans and collectors. Notably this release is more focused in the vein of drone and ambient experimentation, devoid of vocals and drums.
The song "A Bao A Qu" featured in this album shares the same title as the one featured on the album Soundtrack from Film "Mabuta no Ura" but this version is a completely different song.
Ultimately it would prove to be part of a trilogy as two sequel albums were released on Conspiracy Records in 2006: The Thing Which Solomon Overlooked 2 and The Thing Which Solomon Overlooked 3. In 2013 all three albums would be remastered and included with a bonus disc as the boxset The Thing Which Solomon Overlooked Chronicle.
