The Sun Awakens is the eighth studio album by Ben Chasny's solo project Six Organs of Admittance, released in 2006 via Drag City.
Background[]
Writing and recording for the album was composed through the winter of 2005 into 2006, specifically from December to January. While Chasny wrote and performs on the record it features a host of guests, including his Comets on Fire bandmates in Noel Harmonson and Ethan Miller, Badgerlore members Liz Harris and Pete Swanson and Al Cisneros of Sleep and Om notariety. It was produced by Tim Green of The Fucking Champs and released in June 2006 to positive reviews via Drag City.
