The Skull is the eponymous EP by the American doom metal band of the same name. Along with featuring a new song in "The Longing" it would feature a cover of "The Skull", the title track from Trouble's second album The Skull, the band's namesake. It would also be the first release by The Skull to feature Witch Mountain guitarist Rob Wrong and the only release to feature drummer Sean Saley and live guitarist Willie Max.
Along with being released as a 7" single, a CD version would be produced by Tee Pee Records with three bonus tracks. "A New Generation" would be the same recording from For Those Which Are Asleep, released in 2014. Finally the two live tracks would be recorded at Reggies Rock Club on 4 December 2015 in Chicago.
