The Obsessed / The Mystick Krewe of Clearlight (Also known as On The Hunt / Cheatin' Woman) is a split 7" featuring the Maryland doom metal band The Obsessed and the Louisiana instrumental rock project known as The Mystick Krewe of Clearlight. A split single with both bands covering Lynyrd Skynyrd, this 7" would be released in 2001 via Southern Lord Records as part of the Seven Inches of Doom series.
It would be limited in the following colors: 825 Black, 100 Green, 100 Clear, 100 Red.
The Obsessed's track would be recorded in 1994, notably in the same sessions and studio The Melvins would be recording their 1994 album Stoner Witch. Dale Crover would appear on the track as a guest, contributing second drums and backing vocals. Crover and Wino would work together again nearly fifteen years later with Shrinebuilder.
Clearlight's track would be recorded in May 1999 at The Wig Shoppe with Mike Dean (Corrosion of Conformity, Snake Nation, etc.) and Pepper Keenan providing vocals as a guest.
