The Obelisk All-Dayer was an event curated by JJ Koczan of The Obelisk. It is slated to occur on August 20, 2016 at Saint Vitus Bar in Brooklyn, New York.
Background[]
The first announcement of the All-Dayer was announced in January of 2016 with Mars Red Sky being announced as one of the bands for the event.[1] Funeral Horse and King Buffalo were the next bands announced in February.[2] Snail was the next band added to the lineup in March.[3] EYE would be confirmed in April.[4]Kings Destroy and Heavy Temple would be the next bands confirmed in late May.[5] Lastly, Death Alley from the Netherlands was the final band to be confirmed in June alongside DJ sets from Walter Hoeijmakers (Roadburn Festival) and DJ Adzo (The Golden Grass).[6]
Notably, this event will be the first appearances in New York City for Mars Red Sky, Death Alley, Snail, Funeral Horse and Walter Roadburn. The remaining bands will all have new albums or EPs in time for the event.
