Supershine was a band based out of Chicago, Illinois, founded in 1998 and active at least up to 2000. Notably it would be a collaborative project between Doug Pinnick (King's X) and Bruce Franklin (Trouble), along with Trouble drummer Jeff Olson, King's X drummer Jerry Gaskill and members of Galactic Cowboys as guests. Pinnick and Franklin had been friends for years and expressed interest in working together.[1] The project would record a studio album between September 1999 and February 2000 at Houndpound Studios, Houston, TX. Ultimately the eponymous Supershine would see release on 10 September 2000, to generally positive reviews.[2][3]
