Stars That Move is a musical project formed by two members of Starchild in February 2015. The band's sound is a mix of hard rock and occult rock, inspired by the likes of Uncle Acid and the deadbeats and other bands in a rising occult scene. The band has a knack for creative covers along the likes of Guns n' Roses, ZZ Top and of course Black Sabbath.
History[]
Stars That Move began as a new side-project at the time for one Richard Bennett and Frank Sikes, who at the time only just reformed Starchild. Initially Bennett would work with Elisa Maria and compose a host of acoustic songs in the vein of The Brian Jonestown Massacre (Later released as No Evil Star in 2015. Having heard Uncle Acid and The Deadbeats and drawing inspiration from that band, Bennett, Sikes and Maria would officially form Stars That Move on 1 February 2015. However unlike the early incarnation of Starchild, this band is strictly a studio project due to Bennett's ongoing issues with chronic tinnitus.[1] The band would release their eponymous debut in May 2015 and a follow-up album in No Riders on 26 February 2016.
