Space Camper is a psychedelic rock band from Louisville, Kentucky.

History[]

Mutual Kingdom formed in 2015 in the wake of the dissolution of Mimi Von Schnitzl (Active between 2012 and 2015) which featured Matter, Hanka and former My Morning Jacket drummer J.Glenn, who had moved to California at the time. Maintaining an interest in making music, Andy Matter and Rory Hanka recruited Chris Goshawk and begun jamming out various tunes. The group would contribute to Mooster Records' Merry Mooster Mix-Mas compilation with "The Day Before". The band would make a live debut on 20 March 2017 at the Mag Bar with Surgeons in Heat.

From there Mutual Kingdom would play sporadic, enigmatic shows with Freddy Wethington joining on as the band's guitarist. Eventually in 2017 the band would begin releasing video singles via Vimeo: Happy Worries #2 in January and The Ghost of Every Dreamer in July. In 2019 the band would announce a show on 28 March 2019 at Kaiju in Louisville, Kentucky (With Heat Machine) under the re-named Space Camper.
