Sourvein (Also known as Salvation) is the debut studio album by the sludge metal band Sourvein. Recorded in Louisiana in the Spring of 2000, it would be released circa October 2000 by Game Two Records in collaboration with Berserker Records. It's notably the only album to feature early members Josh Crapo and Slim Spencer and the first of two to feature Liz Buckingham.
Four of the songs were re-recordings and originally appeared on the 1999 compilation He's No Good to Me Dead. A cover of the Saint Vitus song "Angry Man" was recorded in the same sessions and intended for the tribute album A Timeless Tale. It would resurface as a bonus track on the digital edition.[1]
On 23 January 2012, Hydro-Phonic Records would release Salvation on vinyl for the first time, limited to 300 copies (200 "Clear Gold", 100 "Glow-in-the-Dark").
