Sonic Flower is the eponymous debut album by Sonic Flower. Released in 2003 in what would be the second-ever release by Leaf Hound Records this short album is largely instrumental psychedelic rock, a departure from the serial killer themed doom metal of Church of Misery. It's also notably the only album in the band's initial run and for a time their only album until Mikami announced a second album in the works for 2019.
Sonic Flower would also be reissued by Emetic Records in 2011 on CD (500 copies) and Marbled Orange Vinyl (300 copies). Lastly it would be reissued by From The Urn in 2019 on cassette, limited to 150 copies. Notably the song "Going Down" is a cover of The Alabama State Troupers.
On 4 November 2020 it would be announced that Sonic Flower would be re-issued on 22 January 2021.[1]
