SonicBlast Moledo is a festival held in Portugal every August, showcasing stoner rock, psychedelic rock and much more. Notably every edition to date is held at Centro Cultural de Moledo do Minho (En: Moledo do Minho Cultural Center) which also features free camping, places to surf and skateboard and much more.
The initial edition in 2011 started as a single, all-day event and has evolved to, as of 2019, into a three-day full event.
A frequent slogan for the festival is Sun, Sea, Beach, Pool, Surf, Skate.
The 2013 edition of SonicBlast Moledo would be held on 24 August 2013. Like the previous edition the fest would host nine bands on a single stage for an entire day. Notably it would feature the Pool DJs TOFU and Astrokid or Astroman?
The 2014 edition of SonicBlast Moledo would be held on 15 and 16 August, the first time in the festival's history that the event would be held on two days. Notably the festival would return to a two-stage format. Notably it would be the second-to-last performance of Church of Misery until 2017.
The 2016 edition of SonicBlast Moledo would be held on 12 and 13 August, with a pre-party hosted on 11 August for early attendees. DJ sets would be presented by Tojo (Black Bombaim; 12 August) and Anthony Meyer (Sacri Monti/Radio Moscow; 13 August).
The 2019 edition of SonicBlast Moledo was held between 8 and 10 August, the biggest lineup of the festival to date. Notably a few bands would cancel leading up to the event. The Obsessed were intended but due to travel complications their appearance (Along with most of their European tour) was canceled. My Sleeping Karma were intended but had to drop off due to one of the members suffering an undisclosed illness. Lastly Satan's Satyrs were intended but broke up mere weeks before the festival.
