SonicBlast Festival (Formerly SonicBlast Moledo) is a festival held in Portugal every August, showcasing stoner rock, psychedelic rock and much more. The first nine editions would be held at Centro Cultural de Moledo do Minho (En: Moledo do Minho Cultural Center) while 2022 onward would be hosted at Praia da Duna dos Caldeirões in Âncora. Along with several bands, the event would host free camping, places to surf and skateboard and much more.
The initial edition in 2011 started as a single, all-day event and has evolved to, as of 2019, into a three-day full event.
A frequent slogan for the festival is Sun, Sea, Beach, Pool, Surf, Skate.

The inaugural edition of SonicBlast Moledo was held on 24 August 2011 as sort of an all-day pool party with seven bands, one DJ and a school jam session.

The 2012 edition of SonicBlast Moledo would be held on 25 August 2012. This time the festival would feature nine bands on one stage in an all-day event, with pool DJs and skate/surf areas.

The 2014 edition of SonicBlast Moledo would be held on 15 and 16 August, the first time in the festival's history that the event would be held on two days. Notably the festival would return to a two-stage format. Notably it would be the second-to-last performance of Church of Misery until 2017.

The 2019 edition of SonicBlast Moledo was held between 8 and 10 August, the biggest lineup of the festival to date. Notably a few bands would cancel leading up to the event. The Obsessed were intended but due to travel complications their appearance (Along with most of their European tour) was canceled. My Sleeping Karma were intended but had to drop off due to one of the members suffering an undisclosed illness. Lastly Satan's Satyrs were intended but broke up mere weeks before the festival.

The 2022 edition of SonicBlast Moledo, delayed for a couple years due to the pandemic and celebrating the tenth anniversary, would be hosted at Praia da Duna dos Caldeirões in Âncora, Portugal from 11 - 13 August 2022. Notably, since the festival was no longer being hosted in Moledo, it would be renamed SonicBlast Festival. By April 2022 nearly thirty-five bands would be announced, with Electric Wizard as one of the headliners.[1]
