Smash The State is a 7" EP by Melvins, released on 25 August 2007 as part of the Grumpy's Big Bash in Minneapolis, MN. Limited to 600 copies as a black 7" single, the remaining copies of Smash The State would be sold on the band's 2007 North American Tour and through AmRep's mailorder. Jokingly, the recording is listed as recorded at "Behind The Bar Studios 7/4/82" and produced by "Ayn Rand". The 7" would also contain a CD containing the EP, along with the Melvins/Halo of Flies Split from 2007 and A Purge of Dissidents No. 3.
