Slithering Slaughter is an EP by Melvins, released initially by Amphetamine Reptile Records in April 2021. The EP would be announced in March 2021, when HAZE XXL announced the EP which would include a "12-minute rendition of Halo of Flies". The initial pressing would be limited to 400 copies in three different colors. Along with the cover of "Halo of Flies", the EP would feature a cover of "Outside Chance" by The Turtles and re-imagined versions of "Honey Bucket" (From Houdini) and "Up The Dumper" (From The Bootlicker). All four songs would appear on the band's 2021 acoustic album Five Legged Dog.
The cover of the EP is a homage to the Alice Cooper album "Killer", which "Halo of Flies" originally appeared.
