Sjunger Sigge Fürst (1993) |
Dactylis Glomerata (1998) |
Sjunger Sigge Fürst (eng. Candlemass Sings Sigge Fürst) is an EP by the Swedish epic doom metal band Candlemass. Recorded not long after the sessions for Chapter VI, it would released domestically via Megarock Records in May 1993, the final release of the band's first run. All of the songs are sung in Swedish.
Sjunger Sigge Fürst is a covers EP with songs originally recorded in the 40's and 50's by Sigge Fürst. Sigge Fürst (3 November 1905 - 11 June 1984) was a Swedish entertainer who worked as a revue singer, radio host, TV personality and, most notably, an actor of both film and theatre. He is credited on the EP as a "guest" though he only appears on the EP through archival sampled recordings as he had died in 1984, right around when Candlemass had originally formed.
