Septic Tank is a death/thrash/crossover band initially conceptualized in 1994 and fully formed in 2012. Initially, the project originally formed in 1994 as a side-project of Cathedral with the lineup at the time of Lee Dorrian, Gaz Jennings, Scott Carlson and Barry Stern. The project was then shelved up to the announcement of Cathedral breaking up.
In October 2012 the project would be revived, with Jaime Gomez Arellano performing drums in place of the late Barry Stern. The band would write, record, mix and master an EP in a single day at Orgone Studios. The eponymous Septic Tank saw release on 3 May 2013. Notably, the band also played their debut show at The Garage in London alongside Repulsion and Necrophagia.[1]
The band would release a studio album in Rotting Civilisation on 13 April 2018 via Rise Above Records. The band would play another show in October 2018 in Japan.[2]
