Scatter is an experimental compilation by the Ash International label, curated by Mike Harding and Russell Haswell and released in September 1997.[1] It is the second release in a triptych, with the first being Chiky(u)u[2] and the third release being Decay.[3]
Among notable avant-garde names such as Kevin Drumm and Jim O'Rourke, this compilation is notable for featuring the Seattle, WA drone band Earth. Recorded with bandleader Dylan Carlson as the sole performer, "Dissolution II: Miami Morning Coming Down (You Fuck)" is the last Earth song of the project's original tenure. The song would be re-imagined for the 2007 EP Hibernaculum.
