Satlan are a doom metal quartet based out of London, England. Founded in 2015 and going by the Satlan name since roughly 2018, their sound is based in fuzzy doom but laced with elements of progressive rock and psychedelic. Since forming the band has shared the stage with numerous acts in England and would release their debut album in late 2020.
Biography[]
Satlan would form roughly in 2015, originally under the name Killing Man Jaroh.[1] This quartet would mainly perform live from 2015 - 2018, with their last known show under that name at a gig supporting Black Moth.[2][3] By May of that year the band would now be known as Satlan, performing their earliest known gig under the new name on 19 May.[4]
Following lineup changes and the respective band members being busy with other projects,[5] along with gigs with the likes of Gorilla and Gévaudan to name a few,[6] work would eventually begin on a debut album. The end result would be Panacea, seeing it's release circa 31 May 2021[7] and with a music video for "Insanity" to support the album.[8]
