The band’s music has been featured on a variety of movies and television shows including FX’s original hit series Sons of Anarchy, A&E's Dog The Bounty Hunter, Jersey Girl, CW’s The Supernatural, and MTV’s Viva La Bam, Bam’s Unholy Union, Rob and Big, and the reissue of Clerks. They can also be heard on a number of video games including NHL 2005, American Chopper, and Monster Garage.

History[]

Sasquatch formed in Los Angeles in 2001 by Philadelphia transplant Keith Gibbs (guitar, vox) and Detroit natives Rick Ferrante (drums) and Clayton Charles (bass). Sometime after forming the band would sign with Small Stone Records and release the eponymous Sasquatch circa 17 August 2004. A follow-up album in II saw release two years later on 14 November 2006 to critical praise.

Upon Clayton’s departure in 2007, the guys recruited Chicagoan Jason Casanova (ex-Tummler, Volume) to join the fold. Drawing on influences from 70's metal, rock, and psychedelia, the band falls somewhere between an amalgamation of Black Sabbath, old Soundgarden, Deliverance-era Corrosion of Conformity, Mountain, and a bastardized version of Grand Funk Railroad. Their songwriting approach is clear; keep the focus on the hook. The first album with this lineup would be III (Released 20 April 2010) to positive reception from the likes of The Obelisk among others.[1] The next year would see the band touring more frequently than ever, including a Small Stone Records Showcase in Europe alongside Dixie Witch and Roadsaw.

The aptly named IV would follow on 24 September 2013 to further praise from several underground publications.[2][3][4] Along with marquee shows to support IV, Sasquatch would tour Europe with The Ultra Electric Mega Galactic in the Spring of 2014, including an appearance at Desertfest London

The band would attain a new drummer in Craig Riggs (Roadsaw, Kind) all the while touring Europe and the West Coast United States. Work on a fifth album would begin in late 2016, recording that November with Benny Grotto at Mad Oak Studios in Allston. Mixing and mastering would take place early next year as further details on a new album would be announced. Signing to Mad Oak Records, Maneuvers would see release on 20 June 2017 to praise from the likes of The Obelisk,[5] Echoes and Dust[6] and Louder Sound[7] just to name a few. Sasquatch would tour Europe and the West Coast United States to support the album, followed by further touring in 2018 and supporting Nebula in 2019.
