Saint Vitus is the eponymous ninth album by the doom metal band of the same name. Set to be released in May 2019 via Season of Mist it's the band's first album after a seven-year gap, the previous being 2012's Lillie: F-65. Notably it's also the first studio album with new bassist Patrick Bruders and the first to feature original singer Scott Reagers in 24 years, his last appearance being on 1995's Die Healing.

Background

Saint Vitus would begin work on a new album as far as 2017 when the band unveiled a new song entitled "Bloodshed". The band would take a year off of touring to focus on writing and recording the new album. In March 2019 the first singles of the album would be unveiled in "12 Years in The Tomb" and "Bloodshed". Ultimately the 2019 self-titled would see release to positive reviews on 17 May 2018 via Season of Mist.
