"Rob Hammer" is a YouTube channel ( https://www.youtube.com/c/ROBHAMMERstonerdoompsychsludgegrungemetal ) showcasing doom metal, sludge metal, psychedelic/space rock and grunge by the individual of the same name. While Rob was active on YouTube since 2007, the channel itself started with it's first upload on 13 December 2016. Notably Rob Hammer's channel also has a personal policy on not monetizing off any video that is uploaded, stating that "there is no other goal then to help ARTISTS spread their music and hopefully listeners will end up purchasing something...". On September 2022 the channel has attained 22 thousand subscribers.
Rob also runs 2 facebook groups: "Doom/Stoner/Sludge/Psychedelic" ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/jpriest011 ) is just shy of 30K members on September 2022. "Caveman Battle Doom" ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/525649494915850 ) is a group about doom metal band Conan and assorted things. Rob also set up the YouTube channel for Black Bow Records ( https://www.youtube.com/c/BlackBowRecords ) , a label owned by Conan frontman Jon Davis.
In 2019 Rob did a project together with Tjeerd de Jong, the owner of Off The Record Label. They released a compilation CD filled with stoner/doom/sludge/psych bands from all around the globe who were looking for a label. In 2020 Rob curated the compilation "Doomed & Stoned in The Netherlands, Part 2" ( https://doomedandstoned.bandcamp.com/album/doomed-stoned-in-the-netherlands-part-2 ) followed by 4 instrumental compilations in 2021 of which Rob did part 1 ( https://doomedandstoned.bandcamp.com/album/doomed-stoned-the-instrumentalists-vol-1 ), and the 3 following parts were done together with Doomed & Stoned editor in chief Billy Goate.
