Rivers of Gore are a doom metal trio from Mexico City, active since 2017. With Rolo Riemer's deep, throaty vocals complimenting a low-end doomed sound, this trio evokes songs of war, bloodshed and the brutally honest sides of reality. The trio has one album to date and is currently signed to Cursed Tongue Records.

History[]

Rivers of Gore formed in early 2017 by the trio of Riemer, Garcia and López. Quickly composing a trio of songs all spanning over ten minutes the group began playing shows in their native Mexico, the earliest known show on 17 November 2017.[1] Building a name in their area and performing more, the trio would eventually go into the studio to begin work on a debut record.

This eponymous Rivers of Gore saw it's release 4 August 2018 (With LSDR handling the CD release). Surrounding this album release the trio played a host of shows and festivals such as Stoned Heads Fest,[2] La Noche de Humo Electrico,[3] Stoner Doom Party II[4] and El Ultimo del Rock Antes del Fin del Mundo[5] among others.

On 14 December 2018 it would be announced that Rivers of Gore had signed to Cursed Tongue Records with plans to release their self-titled album on vinyl circa Spring 2019, along with European and American tour plans.[6]

A three-way split with Bardo and Sementales Salvajes titles Sanctasanctórum was released via Bandcamp on October 31, 2019.[7] A vinyl pressing on Interstellar Smoke Records followed in September 2020.[8]
