Riotgod was a stoner rock/psychedelic rock band based out of New Jersey. Initially created as a solo project by Mark Sunshine, the band would evolve into having members of Monster Magnet and The Atomic Bitchwax. Bob Pantella and Jim Baglino contacted Mark Sunshine for vocals and Garrett Sweeny for guitar. Over the months since, the members have collaborated to produce some of the hardest and best old-school rock on this side of the 90's. After some long and hard writing, touring and promoting, the band finally signed with German label Metalville records and released their first album. Two more albums and an EP would follow as the band largely toured Europe.[1]
The project largely disbanded when Baglino would leave for personal reasons while Sweeny and Pantella would focus on Monster Magnet. Sunshine would perform with other bands, notably joining Unida in 2021.
