Purple Turtle (Also known as Purple Turtle Bar and The Purple Turtle) was a small-scale venue and bar in the Camden area of London, England. Founded in 1990 and re-locating to various locations over the years, The Purple Turtle would host many up-and-coming and touring bands in it's lengthy tenure spanning roughly 17 years. The venue was also notably one of many venues to host Desertfest London. The venue hosted other festival events and all-dayers such as Infernal Damnation in 2006[1] Camden Rocks in 2014[2] and 2015.[3]
The venue would close in the summer of 2015, with the last performance being The Graveltones on 27 June.[4]
