Primitive Man is an American sludge metal band from Denver, Colorado, founded in 2012 and currently composed of guitarist-vocalist Ethan Lee McCarthy, bassist Jonathan Campos and drummer Joe Linden.
History[]
The band was founded in February 2012 by guitarist and vocalist Ethan Lee McCarthy, bassist Jonathan Campos and drummer Bennet Kennedy. In October 2012, the band recorded their debut album Scorn in the studio Flatline Audio under the direction of Dave Otero (Cephalic Carnage, Cobalt, Catheter). The album was released in cooperation with Throatruiner Records and Mordgrimm. After the album's release, Isidro "Spy" Soto joined Primitive Man as a new drummer. In February 2013, the band released the P//M demo, which contained eight songs. In June 2013, the band signed a contract with Relapse Records, and Scorn was re-released in summer of that year. In July and August, the band went together with Reproacher on US tour.
