Pissing In The Wind was a tour between Lexington, Kentucky sludge/doom band Dirtbag and Harrodsburg, Kentucky death/grind band Murrowind, held for five dates in the summer of 2015 with three dates preceding.
Background[]
On 26 January 2015 Murrowind performed for the first time live alongside Dirtbag, black metal band Nahab (Who were also debuting) and Toke. Notably, Dirtbag also performed two new songs for the first time that night in "Blacked Out" and "Father's Sons". Before the summer hit Dirtbag composed the title track to what would be their first EP Sinking Ship, performing the trio of songs roughly six months before the release. It would also be the final time the band would perform any songs from their self-titled album.
The tour itself would be announced in July that year with the band performing five of a proposed seven shows along with two separate gigs alone at Highlands Taproom. Notably, Murrowind performed as an instrumental duo as Austin was out of the tour for unknown reasons and it'd be the only tour of the group. Vocalist Austin would start up a new group in Gassed roughly a year later while Brandon would join as bassist of Louisville heavy metal band Savage Master.
