Pentagram's January 2010 Tour (2010) |
Pentagram's January 2010 Tour was a tour by Pentagram throughout the east coast of the United States from January 15 to January 30 of 2010. It was sponsored by Thunderdome Touring, Metal Blade Records and Rise Above Records.
Background[]
The dates for the tour were announced in November of 2009[1] with The Gates of Slumber as direct support for the whole tour. Throughout these dates two new songs at the time, "South of The Swamp" and "I'm Takin' No More", were being performed live alongside a set of classic Pentagram songs. This would be the final tour to be feature the "comeback" lineup as Russ Strahan would depart from the band a day before their March 2010 tour. Notably on the tour former Pentagram guitarist Victor Griffin would appear as a guest at the January 23 date to perform "Sign of The Wolf" with the band. Bruce Franklin (Trouble) would appear as a guest on the January 30 date to perform "When The Screams Come" with the band.
It's also possible that The Gates of Slumber may have missed the first two dates of the tour due to personal reasons.[2] Notably the January 29 set was Acid Witch's very first live performance.
