Nuggets (and it's other incarnations) is a compilation album be the Wisconsin sludge metal band Bongzilla. Released initially as Shake: The Singles in 2002[1] and later in 2007 as Nuggets, this collection compiles nearly all of the early Bongzilla recordings from 1995 -1996 in the band's early years, predating their signing with Relapse.

Background[]

Prior to the release of Nuggets, this compilation was initially released as Shake: The Singles via the Wisconsin based label Barbarian Records in 2002. This compilation feature twelve songs along with an untitled bonus track that is omitted from subsequent compilations. It's been noted by fans that the song titles and tracks are mixed up and out of order.[2]

In 2007 Nuggets would be released with a revised track list, new "green" artwork and three bonus live tracks recorded at O'Cayz Corral.[3] The compilation would be long out of print until 2018 when Gungeon Records (Bongzilla's own label) would release it digitally and Totem Cat Records would re-issue it physically. The compilation would be renamed Thank You... Marijuana and along with a CD repress would see a vinyl edition for the first time.
