Behold the Gathering (2020) |
Midhir is the twenty-fifth studio album by the Canadian solo act Soulers. Released on January 31, 2020, it is the first album by the project this year and the first in 2 months, following How It Was Meant to Be in November 2019.
Dai Maō has stated on social media that the delay of the album was caused by recording issues he encountered. He began using a recording app called Auria to record with his iPad.
Although is the first in a single-track album series, the album is meant to be one 64-minute track, but was split into 4 due to Bandcamp's file size limitaions. Lyrical themes include global warming and pollution. It also contains samples of Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, whose speech inspired Dai Maō to write the lyrics for the song.
