Mamont was a stoner/psych band out of Sweden, active between 2010 and 2014. In their short tenure they managed to gain a following through their "one-eyed mammoth" aesthetic and energetic performances. The band released one album and two EPs in their tenure and performed at the likes of Freak Valley Festival and Duna Jam.

Mamont formed sometime in the fall of 2010, with their earliest known gig on 12 March 2011 (Supporting a split release for In The Hearts of Emperors, also with Hold Hands and Bergmal).[1] A couple more shows would follow before the band digitally released their eponymous EP on 1 May 2011. From there the band began playing more shows and working up new songs in the making of their first studio album. Passing Through The Mastery Door saw it's release via Ozium Records on 28 September 2018.[2]

In the spring of 2013 Mamont would tour with Katla and perform at Freak Valley Festival as the starting dates. With more shows lined up through the year, the band would also close out 2013 with an appearance at Duna Jam. Mamont would tour Spain that February and March, then Europe that May in support of their second EP The Valleys Below, released on 9 May 2014. The bands would follow with appearances at Sweden Rock Festival, Fest i logen and Krökbacken through the summmer.

Mamont's last post to date was on 18 August 2014, thanking all of those in attendance at their performance at Krökbacken Festival and announcing that it was Karl's last performance with the band. While the band mentioned "new adventures", no new lineup nor any activity have come from Mamont since.[3]
