Magnetic Eye Records is a label formed in New York circa January 2011 by Mike Vitali (Ironweed). The label would showcase a wide range of doom, stoner, shoegaze, post-rock and much more. The label also briefly hosted a sub-label in Nanobox Records, specializing in instrumental bands such as Claymation and Echoes and Signals.
Along with hosting various bands from all over the world the label has also gained notoriety for their "album tribute" compilations, taking classic bands or albums and re-imagining them with modern doom, stoner, sludge and psychedelic artists, some of which funded via Kickstarter. To date Magnetic Eye has released the following tribute compilations:
