Lunch was a southern/sludge band based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Founded in 2005 by members of Mugwart and Beaten Back To Pure, this band notably never had a full-time singer but rather recruited various singers from the Virginia scene to fill in live. This is reflected in their only studio release, an EP featuring a different singer among each of the five songs.

Liner Notes from Bandcamp[]

Damn here's what the world has not been waiting for, the whole damn ep. It's 5 tunes if you can be bothered. Charlie on song 1, Jeff on 2 (I come in at the last note kinda trying tack those 2 songs together), I'm 3rd, Bob is 4th and Gritley got lasts. It is a cool mini cd idea. Still is cool to about 30 of yall.

I should clarify a bit. Will and Danny from Mugwart were jamming with Vince from Beaten Back on drums. They couldn't agree on a singer so they asked their buds, us dudes, Charlie from Mugwart, Jeff from igon, me, Bob from sprawl and Jermflux, and Kevin from Stank to do a song each. We all converged at Vinces and knocked it out one after another. I dubbed us the Virginia vocal no stars. I wrote my words on my way to Vinces from random notes I had laying around. I wrote it for the song Bob sings on. So I was surprised to get there and find out I was doing this one. Minor reworkings and you get this half baked effort at partying and making a mini disc. Goal achieved. - Ben Hogg[1]
