Los Antiguos (en. The Ancients) was a stoner rock/metal band based out of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The project would be founded in late 2012 by Sauron vocalist Pato Larralde alongside members of Avernal and Cruzdiablo. Unlike Sauron's themes of high fantasy and the occult, Los Antiguos' lyrical themes would be based more in aliens and personal issues.

Not long after forming the band would record an EP in January 2013, resulting in the release of Simple on 3 May the same year. Two years later on 9 May, Los Antiguos would release their debut album Madera prohibida. The band would be a frequent at festivals such as Noiseground and Viaje de Agua, all the while sharing the stage with the likes of Poseidótica, Elefante Guerrero Psíquico Ancestral, Dragonauta, Buffalo, Radio Moscow and many others.[1][2]

A second album in Oro para las naves would see release on 11 May 2019, with a special edition packaged like a replica UFO. The band would remain active until 2021. On 11 June 2021 vocalist and co-founder Pato Larralde suffered a stroke on and died two days later (13 June 2021) after his condition worsened due to COVID-19.[3]
