Long Walk of The Navajo is the sixth studio album by the California desert rock band Yawning Man. It is set for a June 2023 release via Heavy Psych Sounds.
Notably it's the first Yawning Man release to feature Billy Cordell since 2005's Pot Head and the first full-length with Cordell. The Long Walk Sessions were inspired by a desert storm that hit the Joshua tree landscape that created a dark and gloomy backdrop for the bands creativity and improvisations.
Blood Sand was recorded at Gary’s house by Steve Kille (Dead Meadow) in October 2022. It was a complete improvisation. Long Walk of the Navajo and Respiratory Pause were recorded at Gatos Trail Recording Studio by Dan Joeright in January of 2023. All songs mixed and mastered by Steve Kille.
