Live By Command of Tom G. Warrior is a live album by Thorr's Hammer. Originally recorded in 2010 at Roadburn Festival as one of two reunion performances, this would be released via Southern Lord Records in June 2019.
Background[]
In 2009, short-lived death/doom band Thorr's Hammer would reunite at the Supersonic Festival in Birmingham, England but with Guy Pinhas on bass instead of original bassist James Hale. Thorr's Hammer would be requested by Thomas Gabriel Fischer for his curated "Only Death Is Real" showcase at the 2010 edition of Roadburn Festival to which they agreed to perform on 16 April 2010. Notably it features the only performance of the band's first new song in sixteen years entitled "Aasgaardsreien"
On 17 April 2018 in lieu with Southern Lord's 20th Anniversary, a vinyl edition of the band's Roadburn performance would be released as part of the silver anniversary subscription series, under the name Live By Command of Tom G. Warrior.[1] This live album would be officially released on 24 June 2019.[2] This release was initially announced for vinyl, limited to 1000 copies (700 Black, 300 Silver for the label's 20th anniversary).
