Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven (also known as Lift Yr. Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven and Levez Vos Skinny Fists Comme Antennas to Heaven) is the second studio album by Godspeed You! Black Emperor. It was recorded at Chemical Sound Studios in Toronto, Ontario and released by Kranky and Constellation Records in 2000.

In 2001, Q magazine placed the album on the list of "50 Heaviest Albums of All Time".

Structure[]

The album's structure and intention are more like a symphony than traditional music of popular or rock music. The four tracks on the album consist of many themes, with their own titles and smoothly passing one into the other. The music contained on the record is instrumental, with the exception of a few samples and vocals.

The vinyl edition of the CD contains a diagram on the cover by Efrim Menuck, illustrating each piece and its components as a rectangle, the length of which is determined by the duration of the work; in addition, some rectangles float to form curves. Titles and durations are added to this chart.

The CD insert contains CDs by William Schaff, an artist from Rhode Island. The vinyl edition also contains these graphics on the cover. On the reverse side of the cover there are photos taken by team members.

Track listing[]

There are four tracks on the CD, each of which contains several segments. Their titles can be found on the cover of the album; the duration was given according to the official discography of GY! BE, because the lengths given in the insert are imprecise.
