Kristonfest is a one-day festival hosted in Spain since 2011. From 2011 to 2016 the festival would largely be hosted in Bilbao, with some sponsored events in other parts of Spain. Since 2017 it has been hosted in Madrid. The festival largely hosts bands in stoner rock, stoner metal, doom metal and sludge with the occasional exception.

The inaugural Kristonfest would be held on 18 June 2011 at Sala Santana 27 in Bilbao, Spain. This first edition would feature four bands.[1]

Following a hiatus in 2012, the 2013 edition of Kristonfest would be held on 15 June 2013 at Sala Santana 27 in Bilbao, Spain, featuring four bands.[2]

The 2014 edition of Kristonfest would be held at La Riviera on 24 May 2014 at Sala Santana in Bilbao, featuring four bands and various DJs for the after-party.[3][4]

2015[]
The 2015 edition of Kristonfest would be held at Sala Santana 27 in Bilbao on 11 July 2015, featuring five bands and an after-party featuring Metal Fever DJs. The main festival of edition would be notably be very different in terms of musical style andsponsored by the likes of Rockzone, EMP and Jagermeister among others.[5]
Notably three shows presented by Kristonfest would be hosted throughout parts of Spain:
- Sleep on 24 April at Bikini, Barcelona, Spain.[6][7]
- Torche and Tao Te Kin on 9 May at Moby Dick Club in Madrid, Spain.[8]
- The Atomic Bitchwax and Horisont on 16 May at Kafe Antzokia in Bilbao, Spain.[9]

The 2016 edition of Kristonfest would be hosted on 13 and 14 May 2016 at Sala Santana 27 in Bilbao, Spain. Notably this edition would the first time the festival would be hosted for two days and the last time to date the festival has been hosted in Bilbao.[10]

2017[]
The 2017 edition of Kristonfest would be held at La Riviera on 6 May 2017, featuring six bands and DJ Ismagik for the after-party ceremonies. This would notably be the first time the festival would be fully hosted in Madrid. The event would be sponsored by Jagermeister and Jagermusic.[11][12]

2020[]
The 2020 edition of Kristonfest was intended to be at La Riviera on 9 May 2020, with six bands over a single day. However on 18 March it would be announced that the festival would be canceled due to the CO-VID19 pandemic. The festival organizers chose to cancel the festival rather than postpone as they would state it would be impossible to match the same artists on a proposed re-scheduled date.[16]

2022[]
Following the announcement that the 2020 edition of Kristonfest had been canceled the organizers would announce that work would begin for the 2021 edition. It would be ultimately postponed to 2022 to 7 May and 14 May 2022, both events at Sala Mon in Madrid. The lineup and dates would be announced in November 2021.[17]
