Kept Between Trees is a 7" single and the first release by Fu Manchu, released in 1990 via Slap A Ham Records. Musically it's drastically different from the stoner rock the band is known for, with this EP taking a style of sludge and punk inspired by Melvins. It's also the only Fu Manchu release to feature bassist Glen McCaughey and vocalist Glenn Chivens.
Kept Between Trees would be re-issued via Fu Manchu's label At The Dojo Records on 4 May 2015. Along with a digital release the EP would be re-issued as a Gold 10" Vinyl. Along with a re-master, Fu Manchu added an unreleased song "Blowtorch" from that 1990 session and another unreleased song, "Flashin'" from a recording session a few months after (Though this song only appears on the digital version).
