Jug of Ale was a venue in the Moseley area of Birmingham, England. Established in 1992 and established by some as a "toilet venue"[1] Jug of Ale would host a wide range of independent bands along with Britpop notables such as Oasis, Blur, Ocean Colour Scene, Kasabian and The Verve among others. On 9 May 2008 it would be announced that the venue would be demolished in favor of a curry house.[2] The final performance would be on 11 May 2008, featuring Misty's Big Adventure and The Mexicolas.[3]
