Into The Void is a doom/stoner rock festival hosted in The Netherlands, specifically the Leeuwarden region. The festival is typically hosted at Neushoorn, utilizing anywhere between one and four stages depending on the year.
The inaugural Into The Void would take place on 13 October 2013 at Poppodium Romein in Leeuwarden, featuring nine bands over a single day. The exact running order of bands is unknown.[1]
The second edition of Into The Void would be hosted on 25 October 2014 at Poppodium Romein in Leeuwarden, featuring nine bands over a single day in similar fashion to the first edition.[2]
The 2015 edition of Into The Void would expand to a bigger venue in Neushoorn, hosting bands over three stages. The festival would however remain on a single night, running on 24 October 2015.[3][4]
The 2016 edition of Into The Void would be hosted on 21 and 22 October at Naushoorn in Leeuwarden. Notably it would be the first edition to host on two days, utilizing as many as four different stages for the second day.[5]
The 2017 edition of Into The Void would be hosted on 20 and 21 October 2017 at Neushoorn in Leeuwarden. The festival would host several DJs throughout the day such as DJ Case, DJ Coconaut and DJ Maurock.[6]
The 2019 edition of Into The Void would be hosted on 18 and 19 October 2019 at Neushoorn in Leeuwarden. A month later a Kickstarter campaign would be hosted to fund the 2020 edition but with only the requested amount 30% backed after a few weeks the organizers chose to make the 2019 edition their final one.[7]
April 26th Into the Void's Facebook page came with the surprise revelation that the festival was resurrected and would have a new edition on 9 October 2019 at Neushoorn in Leeuwarden. Confirmed names for this one-day event: Orange Goblin, Unida, Sasquatch, Fire Horse, Mothership, Temple Fang, Gott, High Reaper, Ter Ziele, Hippie Death Cult.
