Instant Boner are a six-piece Psychedelic Stoner Rock band from Thessaloniki, Greece. The band was formed in September 2013 and to date have released two EPs, a single and a full-length album as of 2020.

History[]

Instant Boner were formed in September 2013 in Thessaloniki, Greece by Triantafyllos (guitars), Kostas (vocals), Orestis (saxophone), Paris (drums), Alex (guitar) and Adam (bass). They played their first gig in the same month at the 8Ball Club in their home town of Thessaloniki. The band's first release was the Perfect Sunday EP, and was self-released on April 12th 2014.[1] In May 2014, Alex left the band. With Alex out of the band, Paris switched to playing guitar and Vaggelis was brought in on drums. Adam left the band in September 2014 and was replaced on bass by Anestis. Between March 8th to March 22nd 2015, the band set to work on recording their second EP, Outburst, at Shellac Studios.[2] Anestis left the band in April 2015 and was replaced in June by Johnny. With the lineup settled, the band played at the Fuzztastic Planet Festival at Kokkinogia Lake, Greece on August 1st 2015 [3] Outburst was eventually released on January 21st 2016.[2] After this release, they performed on several gigs promoting Outburst. In January 2017, Kostas had to leave the band. At that time, they paused on performing for a while due to prior commitments. About one year later (on February 2018), Marianthi joined the band.  During the summer of 2018, Instant Boner released a sinlge named "Misfits" which was the debut of Marianthi, their new vocalist. This was Recorded and Mixed by Nick Logiotatidis at otsemusicstudio.com and Mastered by www.davecollinsmastering.com. While performing on several venues,  the band kept working on some new material.

The new album named High Place Phenomenon was released on September 25th, 2020. The Mixing/Recording/Production was done by Paris Parasidis. Mastering by Siopis Masters. Everything recorded at ToneRoom_Studio by Paris Parasidis except drums, recorded at Shellac Studios by Konstadinos Fragopoulos and Paris Parasidis.

Over the lifespan of the band, they have shared the stage with acts such as Samsara Blues Experiment, Radio Moscow, 1000mods, Nightstalker and Universe217 at regular gigs and Elder when playing Fuzztastic Planet Festival.
