I Am Vengeance (Also known as I Am Vengeance Vol. 1) is a compilation album and soundtrack curated by MeteorCity Records and released in 2001. With numerous stoner rock and doom metal bands contributing exclusive works, I Am Vengeance would be intended as a soundtrack to a film of the same name by Richard R. Anasky. Ultimately the film would never be finished nor properly released.[1]
Cirith Ungol were originally intended to appear on the soundtrack but were omitted for unknown reasons.[2] Tracks two and five, along with a portion of track thirteen, were sound clips from the film. Along with contributing a Count Raven song, Dan Fondelius contributed two solo compositions for the film. Also of note is Eternal Elysium's track would be a Witchfinder General cover.
A second soundtrack was intended in the works via MeteorCity and Game Two Records but never finished. Proposed bands were among the likes of Cirith Ungol, Bongwater 666, Buffalo, Church of Misery, Eternal Elysium, Grief, Mirror of Deception, Northwinds, Pentagram, Sheavy, Solitude Aeturnus and Solstice among others.[3]
